Good Prefects Listen

Vote Harihar Rengan | Dubai College Prefect

Despite being a qualified leader at DC and organized student, I have have one firm belief: a good prefect doesn't need to be the loudest voice in the room. They need to hear yours.

I'm running clubs, teaching younger students, and actively giving back to the DC Community. I'm also working to digitize our parliament, to make it easier for you to be heard, and to make sure the people representing you actually understand what you need. Scroll to learn more.

What This Is About

Listening, acting, and making systems that actually work

Why I'm Running

I've heard our students, but their voices never reach the top. Perhaps they're too busy, or maybe they just don't know how to make themselves heard. I'm running to bring real democracy to Dubai College and fix this crucial gap.

You might not see me campaigning. You'll see me listening. You'll see me building tools that make it easier for you to reach leadership. You'll see me making sure that when you speak, it actually matters.

What I Actually Believe

A prefect's job isn't to have all the answers or to be the most visible person in the room. It's to be the bridge. To translate what students need into action. To make parliament work for everyone, not just the vocal few.

I'm committed to listening to my peers, understanding their concerns, and acting on their behalf. My experience as a leader and community contributor has prepared me to take on this responsibility with dedication and integrity.

Speak Up

Making Parliament Actually Work

The Problem

Student parliament is supposed to represent everyone. But how many of you actually know what's being discussed? How do you give feedback? How do you know if anything changed because of your input?

Right now, there's a huge gap between students and parliament.

What I'm Building

Speak Up is a platform to change that. It's simple but practical. It lets students see what parliament is working on, contribute feedback, vote on decisions, and actually track if things improve.

Speak Up is the road to real democracy at Dubai College.
